About Nicole
Hi there! I'm Nicole and this is my story.
I have always loved dancing since I was a child, taking ballet and movement classes throughout high school and having random dance competitions at home with my cousins. One day, in my high school movement class, we watched the movie Dirty Dancing and I was enthralled by the partner salsa dancing that I saw in the movie. I went home that day and told my mom that I wanted to learn salsa. My mom and I both started taking ballroom dance lessons at a local studio and I was introduced to the ballroom world.
I joined the competitive ballroom dance team in college and learned all four styles of ballroom dance: Latin, standard, rhythm and smooth. While my competitive career is now focused on Latin, I enjoy the other styles and I love being able to teach them to students of all experience levels.
I love to say that I specialize in teaching people with two left feet! My abundance of patience and ability to explain things in many different ways makes it really fun for me to teach beginners, even those who are hesitant to try ballroom dancing in the first place 😉
